Los Cardones project is located in a sparsely populated area of the State of Baja California Sur, Mexico, close to the delegation of San Antonio and has reserves of approximately 1.2 million ounces of gold.
This project will be an open pit mine and with an 11,000 to 15,000 tons per day gold recovery circuit using dynamic leach tanks and the INCOTM system for cyanide destruction and detoxification.
The project contemplates the construction, operation and maintenance of a desalinization plant with a capacity to generate 7,500 m3 of fresh water; this allows the project to avoid using water from aquifers.
As an integral part of its operation, this project contemplates a series of community commitments including sports and recreation activities, such as the organization and funding of baseball little & junior leagues, support for local celebrations and rural production projects.
